Why We Exist

Hope’s mission is to engage, encourage, and equip women and teen girls facing any difficult life situation. We guide women from trauma to transformation!

From Trauma to Transformation

Hope’s caring approach is relational and holistic, supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of every woman. Our classes and support groups help women grow and make positive change. Our one-on-one mentoring helps women heal and move forward. Material and utility assistance help make ends meet.

“I only came to Hope for diapers. I grew up practicing a pagan religion, so I wanted to hear nothing about God. Hope helped me without preaching at me. One night, about to end my life, I heard myself calling to God, “Please help me!” I was willing to accept His help. Now I attend Bible studies at Hope to learn about the God who saved me.”

"We have all experienced times of pain and darkness in our lives. At Hope Women's Center, we get the privilege of coming alongside hurting women and teen girls, loving them right where they are, and pointing them to the true source of Healing and Hope. What a great joy to watch God transform brokenness into beauty in women's lives!"

"The Coolidge Center was opened in July of 2013 and it is truly a blessing to serve the ladies in our community.  I love being able to share Jesus with every lady that walks through our door."

When my son was taken into foster care, I came to Hope for parenting classes and anger management classes. The Hope Initiative program helped me work toward reunification and employment and now my son and I have our own place. I’m so thankful Hope was there to help me get back on my feet.”

“From childhood into adulthood, I experienced abuse in every relationship. I’m talking through the pain and learning to forgive in mentoring, and I’m learning about safe people and healthy boundaries in classes. I’m teaching these things to my daughter so she won’t have to go through the hard things I went through.”

"I love the women and children we serve. They are beautiful inside and out and their joy, despite their circumstances, never ceases to amaze me. The gift I receive by being able to watch their lives transform on a daily basis because of their surrender to God and the true love they are experiencing often for the first time in their lives is priceless."

“The violence in my marriage got so severe, I packed up my two children, a few of our things, and fled. I had a good job, but my husband had drained our bank account, so my church referred me to Hope for clothing, toiletries, and food. Hope staff assured me there was no shame in needing help. They didn’t judge me, they cared for me.”

"The Every Mother's Advocate (ĒMA) program has been so helpful to me as a single mom. To have the resources and support of an advocate that helps me learn to parent in healthier ways, teaches me tools to reduce my stress, and skills to improve my relationship with my kids ... this is the best hour of my week!"

"Hope Women's Center serves the women, children, and families of each community showing God's grace and love to those desperately needing it. Standing in a gap between professional services and the local church, we are able to effectively meet the client's physical, mental, and spiritual needs at the same time.  It has been an honor and a privilege to serve on the HWC Board of Directors over the past several years.  I have grown spiritually and professionally while at the same time working together humbly in Christ with other men and women on behalf of the Center.  The commitment level of those within our staff, volunteers, and board members is honorable and gives God great Glory!"

"At Hope Women’s Center women and young ladies have the opportunity to give and to receive. Clients, volunteers, and staff alike share their lives in a nonthreatening environment where the goal is to have Christ at the center."
