Our organization is run by inspiring leaders.
Tom was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona and is the owner of The Studio Design Group, an interior design firm in Scottsdale.
Tom attended ASU as well as Phoenix Seminary and currently serves as President of the Hope Women's Center Board of Directors. Prior to that, Tom served on the Board of our Phoenix Center (formerly Steps of Faith).
Tom and his wife Alyssa have four children. Tom has also served on the Board of Elders at Camelback Bible Church and volunteers in several capacities there as well.
Tracy Miller has served on the Hope Women's Center Board of Directors since 2009. She currently serves as Board Secretary. Tracy has a B.A. in Psychology and a Master's of Social Work from Arizona State University. She spent over 12 years in the field of social work, specializing in adoption and foster care. She also an active volunteer at her church, Cornerstone Bible Church. Tracy and her husband Merl have four children.
Shane is the founder of Red Mountain Consulting and Development and is a social media expert. He has served on the Board of Directors at Hope Women's Center for more than 10 years and currently serves as Treasurer.
Kathy and her husband Rick are the owners of Spencer's TV & Appliances and have been married for 40 years. They have five adult children and 13 grandchildren. Kathy is active in the Women’s ministry at Redemption Church Gilbert Campus, and also keeps very busy being a grandma. Kathy has served on the Board at Hope Women's Center since 2013.
Phil Thomas owns Chick-fil-A at Camelback & 16th Street and lives in central Phoenix with his wife, Sarah, and four children. After attending Wheaton College together and then pursuing preparation for overseas missions at Reformed Theological Seminary, Phil and Sarah felt called to contribute to the life of their community through business ownership. They are members of Christ Church Anglican and have been involved with Hope Women's Center since 2013, with Phil joining the Board in 2018.
David Van Slyke
David Van Slyke is Vice President, Corporate Banking, at the National Bank of Arizona. He has served on the Board of Directors for Hope Women's Center since 2013 and prior to that served on the Board of our Phoenix Center (formerly Steps of Faith). David and his wife Caroline have two children and own a downtown urban farm, BoHo Farm.
