The Language of Love at Hope
February is called the month of love. We see valentine hearts and chocolates in stores everywhere. But oftentimes love is intertwined with grief. The two go hand in hand. At Hope Women’s Center, our women have experienced incredible loss and grief in their lives. She needs more than candied hearts or a box of chocolates to experience love and healing. She needs constant encouragement, great compassion, and a safe place she can count on. At Hope, we welcome every woman and teen girl no matter what difficult life situation she is in. We meet her where she is at and celebrate her wins with her.
Grief Support
Client C first came to the center after a miscarriage. She was struggling with grief and working through healing from past sexual abuse and trauma. She also had an estranged relationship with her daughter from her previous marriage. Client C had heard about Hope and came to find support as she struggled with her grief. She says “I am a new woman since coming to Hope! I came for grief support, but here I found love, acceptance, and a community of women to support me on my journey. I am learning how to be a better parent to my younger kids and God is healing my relationship with my daughter. My daughter just sent me a letter telling me how proud she is of me after seeing how changed I am since coming to Hope. She sees the hard work I am doing and the way I am healing and growing. Thank God for Hope Women’s Center.”
Language of Love
At Hope, we speak the language of love every day of the year, one woman at a time. It adds up, and we believe, it makes all the difference. It is our honor and privilege to love and serve each woman that walks through our doors.
